Overview

Experience the incredible wildlife, natural beauty, and cultural heritage of southern Nepal on the 3N4D Chitwan Jungle Safari. Set in the heart of Chitwan National Park, Nepal's first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this tour offers an unforgettable combination of jungle adventures, wildlife encounters, and authentic Tharu cultural experiences. From thrilling jeep safaris and peaceful canoe rides to bird watching and village visits, this journey is perfect for nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, families, and travellers seeking a relaxing escape beyond the Himalayas.

The Chitwan Jungle Safari is one of Nepal's most rewarding wildlife experiences, taking visitors into the heart of Chitwan National Park, the country's first national park and one of its most important conservation areas. Located in the subtropical lowlands of southern Nepal, the park covers more than 950 square kilometres of forests, grasslands, rivers, and wetlands, creating an ideal habitat for an extraordinary variety of wildlife.

Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chitwan National Park is home to some of South Asia's most iconic wildlife. Visitors have the opportunity to encounter the greater one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, sloth bear, spotted deer, wild boar, gharial crocodile, and many other species in their natural environment. Every safari offers a unique experience as animals move freely throughout the park's diverse landscapes.

A jeep safari is one of the highlights of the tour, allowing visitors to explore deeper into the national park with experienced naturalist guides. Travelling through dense sal forests, open grasslands, and riverbanks provides excellent opportunities to observe wildlife while learning about the park's ecosystem, conservation efforts, and the importance of protecting Nepal's rich biodiversity.

The Rapti River adds another memorable experience to the journey. A peaceful canoe ride offers a different perspective of the park, where visitors can quietly observe crocodiles resting along the riverbanks, colourful kingfishers, herons, and numerous other bird species. Chitwan is recognised as one of Nepal's finest birdwatching destinations, with more than 500 recorded species making the park a paradise for bird enthusiasts.

The tour also offers an opportunity to discover the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous Tharu community. For generations, the Tharu people have lived alongside the forests of Chitwan, developing a unique lifestyle closely connected to nature. Visiting a traditional Tharu village and enjoying a cultural dance performance provides valuable insight into their customs, traditions, and daily life.

Combining thrilling wildlife encounters, peaceful natural surroundings, and authentic cultural experiences, the Chitwan Jungle Safari offers something for every traveller. Whether you are seeking adventure, photography opportunities, family-friendly activities, or a relaxing escape into nature, this journey showcases one of Nepal's most remarkable destinations.
