The journey starts on the quieter trails leading up to the turquoise lakes of the Gokyo Valley. After climbing Gokyo Ri for panoramic mountain views, you will take on the thrilling crossing of the Cho La Pass. This high-altitude pass is a snowy, rocky trail that connects Gokyo directly to the main Everest Base Camp route. Once across, you will join the trail to Gorakshep, stand at Everest Base Camp, and climb Kala Patthar for a classic sunrise view of Mount Everest. It is a complete, varied, and deeply rewarding trekking itinerary.
