Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in, you can relax or explore the streets of Thamel. In the evening, you will attend a detailed briefing where your guide reviews the itinerary and prepares you for your journey into Tibet.

A scenic morning flight takes you from Kathmandu to Lhasa, offering dramatic aerial views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, as the flight crosses into the Tibetan plateau. Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel, where you can rest and begin acclimatizing to the high altitude of the Tibetan capital.

Today is dedicated to exploring the spiritual and cultural heart of Lhasa. You will visit the sacred Jokhang Temple, considered the most important temple in Tibetan Buddhism, before continuing to the vibrant Barkhor market, where pilgrims and traders have gathered around the old city's pilgrimage circuit for centuries. The day offers a rich introduction to Tibetan culture, tradition, and daily life in the capital.

Today you will journey out of Lhasa toward Namtso Lake, whose name means Heavenly Lake in Tibetan. Along the way, you will visit Tashidor Monastery, a peaceful monastic site set near the lake's shores. At Namtso itself, you will have time to take in the vast, dramatic scenery of one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world before returning to Lhasa in the evening.
Driving Duration: Approximately 4 to 5 hours each way

Today's tour focuses on two of Lhasa's most iconic sites. You will explore the magnificent Potala Palace, the former winter residence of the Dalai Lama and one of the most significant architectural landmarks in the world, before visiting Drepung Monastery, once one of the largest monasteries in Tibet and an important center of Tibetan Buddhist learning.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Lhasa Gonggar Airport for your scenic return flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, you will transfer to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, reflecting on your journey through Tibet.
